For the third time in Estonia, Hong Kong’s unoffcial anthem ‘Glory to Hong Kong’ was played on an Estonian radio show. Estonian Raadio Kuku, followed by Estonian public broadcaster’s Raadio 2 and local podcast ‘Found in Estonia’, agreed to play the city’s to-be-banned anthem after an interview on Hong Kong affairs. For Estonians, an anthem ban belongs to the Soviet occupation history; for Hongkongers, while the anthem is unofficial, it does resemble to the present, not the past.
