The rapid development of Russia’s drone industry poses a threat to Estonia’s national security, according to the Estonian Foreign Intelligence Service’s annual report published lately. In the report, the intelligence agency emphasized that Russia has invested heavily in drone technology, including the establishment of 48 research and production centres which targets a monthly production of 100,000 drones across the country. The mass production of drones in Russia raises concern about its capabilities in surveillance and launching attacks. The Estonian intelligence report also warns that Russia will enhance its operational capabilities in war for its combat experience in Ukraine.
