The School of Humanities at Tallinn University invites applications for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA PF) 2025, offering early-career researchers the opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in human and political geography (of which border studies is part) and other fields.

The fellowship provides funding for 12-24 months of research, covering salary, mobility allowance, family allowance (if applicable), and research expenses. In addition, applicants who pass specific evaluation thresholds but are not selected for MSCA funding may still be eligible for ERA Fellowships or postdoctoral grants from the Estonian Research Council.

Eligibility and application

🔹 Open to postdoctoral researchers with a PhD (max. 8 years of full-time research experience)
🔹 Applicants must not have lived or worked in Estonia for more than 12 months in the last three years (mobility rule)
🔹 Tallinn University’s School of Humanities must be selected as the host institution

To apply, candidates must submit their CV (max. 3 pages) and a one-page motivation statement outlining their research idea and its relevance to Tallinn University’s research expertise. The deadline for pre-selection is March 31, 2025.
