Nawal Shaharyar is a lecturer and early career researcher at Tallinn University. She is currently pursuing her doctoral studies at the School of Law, Governance and Society at Tallinn University. She holds a MA in urban development from the globally top-ranked Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex, England.
Her research examines the social construction of spaces and is focused on issues of ethno-linguistic segregation in urban residential spaces of Tallinn. She is also working as a researcher and in an administrative capacity for Horizon 2020 Twinning Project for migration and Integration in Research (MIRNet). She is a key person in MIRNet project reporting and internal project evaluation at Tallinn University.
