The Eur-Asian Border Lab team is happy to invite you to a screening of Joint Security Area (2000) ; a film by renowned Korean director Park Chan Wook about the unlikely friendship of Korean soldiers stationed on opposite sides of the North/South Korean border.
The screening will be followed by a discussion on the role of borders and bordering, with two special guests: Karin Dean, head of the Eur-Asian Border Lab, and Inhyuk Suh, lecturer of Korean society and politics at Tallinn University. The audience is encouraged to participate, and no previous knowledge is necessary to join the discussion.
The screening will take place on Friday 5th May at 18h in room M-213 at Tallinn University. Attendance is free and open to everyone, and the film subtitles, as well as the discussion, will be in English.
