The Eur-Asian Border Lab hosted a symposium “Bridging the Regions and Disciplines in Border Studies” on January 18-19, at Tallinn University, bringing together over 50 scholars from Europe, Asia, North America, and Australia who study borders. During the breaks, we approached different scholars, and asked them 3 questions on what borders and border studies mean to them.

1. Do you consider yourself a border scholar? Can you please elaborate for one minute about what kind of borders you study?
2. What kind of practitioners do you work with outside academia?
3. Do you think that border studies are different in Europe and Asia?
